Quality Manager

Quality Manager Qualifications This position will develop and maintain a successful Quality management system, including analysis of current process, development and documentation of facility-wide procedures to improve quality process; development and monitoring of metrics and daily record keeping. Manage and continuously improve the quality control program and performance, the Quality Manager will assist in creating job-specific SOP’s /WI and conduct regular audits; design and implement quality control training programs to key personnel; work closely with customers, management and operations to ensure compliance with client requirements including accuracy and timeliness; consult with managers to discuss and resolve issues; SOP’s/WI’s implemented and maintained in the plant; support the objectives to meet our clients’ expectations. Experience: 5-10 years in quality, 3+ years Quality management experience in a high mix/high volume tier I manufacturing environment, welding experience a plus. Education: BA/BS Key responsibilities: · Administer, maintain, and continuously improve the quality programs to meet and exceed customer and company requirements. · Organize and promote company-wide quality improvement efforts. · Eliminating waste, move from detection to prevention quality system. · Developing, implementing, monitoring and controlling the Quality system to assure product quality based on customer and/or product specifications. · Improving customer satisfaction. · Developing and training personnel in quality tools and procedures. · Monitoring cost of quality, reduce waste and non-value-added tasks. · Interfacing with customers, suppliers and employees to resolve quality problems. · Strong background in SPC, TOPS, APQP, PPAP, QFD, DOE ? Prioritize and set time lines both short term and long. · Develop, manage and audit TS16949 systems and procedures. ? Coordinate in-plant and customer communications related to quality issues. ? Maintain documentation related to quality activities. ? Ensures all check fixtures and gauges capture all customer critical dimensions ? Coordinating team oriented problem-solving activities ? Solid analytical skills ? Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. ? Proven ability to co-ordinate and lead a team, in a multi-project fast paced environment. ? Demonstrated pro-active problem solving, reasoning and decision-making ability at a management level. ? Innovative management style with a high-energy level and adaptable to change in an extremely fast-paced environment. ? Ability to evaluate, develop, motivate and improve competency level of direct reports. ? A self driven “can do” attitude ? Candidate must have the ability to develop, manage and present information to multiple audiences
