Customer Service/Material Control Manager

A Mid Michigan Tier One Automotive supplier is looking for a high performing Customer Service/Material Control Manager. The Customer Service/Material Control Manager is a key decision-maker on the leadership team. Responsibilities include managing all customer service and material control activities to meet customer requirements including: · Administration and on-time execution of customer orders, production schedules, releases, and just-in-time shipments to meet daily customer requirements. · Expediting and controlling the flow of steel throughout the process to protect and account for steel inventories. The successful candidate will have a strong background in steel producing/metals processing and a history of success in manufacturing facilities. Requirements include: · A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years experience in customer service and material control. · An advanced degree, APICS certification and supply chain management experience is highly desirable · Demonstrated staff/team development, coaching, mentoring and performance feedback skills. · Strong analytical, negotiating, problem solving and communication skills. · Excellent leadership, teamwork and conflict resolution skills · Ability to manage high volume information and multiple priorities effectively. · Results driven through quantifiable measures, with focus on core performance and continuous improvement. · Thorough understanding and experience with database, table and report design · Proficient in use of personal computers and software including word processing, spreadsheets and e-mail.
